LAUNCH Longmont Housing is excited to endorse Andrew Barton to be appointed to represent Colorado Senate District 17. We endorse his strong commitment to making housing more affordable in Colorado. In 2024, LAUNCH successfully advocated for the elimination of parking minimums, making Longmont the first city in Colorado to achieve this critical step in reforming land use. We hosted Chuck Marohn of Strong Towns, a nationally recognized organization in the area of land use and housing policy, who gave a public talk to 150 people on reforms to achieve housing affordability in Colorado.
